Full detailsLake Rosseau is 40 to 50 minutes from our Huntsville base. We pick up from any dock on the lake and store at our private facility through winter.
Lake Rosseau is the middle lake of the Muskoka Big Three, connected to Lake Muskoka through the Port Carling lock and to Lake Joseph through the Joseph River. It's known for larger and older cottages, a strong sailing community, and some of the deepest open water in the region.
Pickup from Lake Rosseau runs about 40 to 50 minutes from our Huntsville base, depending on the dock location. The Windermere and Minett stretches on the north and east shores are the closest. The south arm around Rosseau village and the west arm near Lake Joseph add 10 to 15 minutes each. We schedule Rosseau runs on Thursdays in October, with additional Tuesday runs during peak weeks. Tell us your bay and closest crossroad at booking.
Boats on Lake Rosseau run toward the larger end of what we typically store. You'll find classic Chris-Crafts at the old-money cottages, modern ski and wake boats, day cruisers in the 26 to 30 foot range, and the occasional sailboat that uses the lake's open reaches. Larger boats need more cribbing and a longer wrap frame, and we account for that at booking. Sailboat mast unstepping is not a service we provide in year one but we can connect you with a rigger who does it.
If your boat is at a marina on Lake Rosseau, ask about our marina coordination service. We work directly with marina managers to arrange haul-out and loading logistics so you don't have to be present. You give us a contact, we handle the rest. Spring returns to Lake Rosseau run from late April through mid-May. Ice-out on the main basin is typically around the third week of April.
