Year OneMuskoka Storage is the off-season operation of Muskoka Detail, the Huntsville detailing company cottagers have used since 2018. Same family, same workshop, same standards.
Muskoka Detail has been washing, waxing, and looking after Muskoka boats out of a Huntsville workshop for seven years. Cottagers kept asking the same question every September. Where do we take it for the winter.
Storage was the answer. We leased a private lot one hour from the Detail HQ, built it to the same standard as the wash bay, and opened it to the customer list we already had. It runs on the same handshake, the same insurance file, the same accountability.
Same family, same workshop, same standards. One company looking after your boat from haul out in October through the first weekend in May.

We didn’t set out to run a storage yard. The customer list asked for it, and we said yes one boat at a time.

Year OneThe shop moves out of the van. Three bays, full bottom-paint and ceramic-coat capability. Boats become the larger half of the work.
WorkshopBy the end of the season we have eighteen names. We lease a private lot one hour out of town and figure out shrink wrap.
Pilot YearFull service from dock pickup to spring commissioning. Capped at the number of boats two people can actually look after.
TodayThree things we built the business around. They’re the reason cottagers stay year after year, and the reason the customer list is closed every summer.
We live and work in Muskoka. The customer we wrap a boat for in October is the same customer we’ll see at the marina in July. There’s no anonymity in this town, and we like it that way.
No subcontractors, no rotating crew.The facility address isn’t public. There’s no sign on the road. On-site tours are by appointment, for confirmed customers. We made that choice on day one and we won’t change it.
Private secured storage.We’ve set a hard limit on the number of boats we’ll take each season. Past that, the standard slips. The list opens in August and closes when it’s full.

The site is fenced and gated. Entry is by appointment. Camera and motion monitoring is continuous through the season. Boats are spaced for a clean walk-around and supported on cribbing rated for each weight class. We send one mid-winter status photo by email in February and you can request more anytime.
The same two people handle every pickup, every wrap, every spring delivery. You’ll meet at least one of them on the dock in October.
